CEOs or Presidents, who attain positions of power, reach these positions for a variety Online Outlet, Cheap Replica Watches UK Store, Swiss Replica Watches Sale, Free UK Shipping!! of reasons. The reasons are not always a result of competency and hard work; these positions are not always earned. As a result employees find themselves under the rule of various kinds of leaders. Effective leaders are effective because they demonstrate impeccable character. Ineffective leaders often demonstrate a leadership model that has not been built on a foundation of character. . Effective Leadership must be built on the foundation of character, and character is the result of choices you make that gradually turn who you are at any given moment into who you become. The key to being a real leader is the ability to influence the influencers. You have to touch people in such a way that they can reach out and touch other people. That is not possible if your leadership model is not built on a foundation of impeccable character. Leadership isn’t something you learn from a book or a college course leadership responsibility. This isn’t the easiest challenge you will ever face. Real leaders take the time necessary to learn from their own failures; to comprehend consequences and develop a personal leadership model. A Model built on a foundation of character. Character isn’t something you are born with. Character forms who you are. You are the one and only person responsible for your character. Your character is built around your values and how you live your life, how you function at work and how you react to challenges. It incorporates your faith, your beliefs and interpretation of life itself. Character is built on a foundation of qualities that you create. It is a never ending process, a journey for a lifetime and it becomes the principle replica audemars piguetguiding factor that determines your legacy. Remember martin Luther King’s famous quote: “I dreamed of the day when all Americans “will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Content of character; what does that really mean? How do we define character? I believe the content of character is the sum of your virtues; virtues that include compassion, kindness, trust, respect, morality and a clear distinction of right and wrong. If you’re sincerely committed to making yourself into the person you want to be, you’ll not only create these virtues but you’ll strengthen them, embrace them and demonstrate them to others functioning in a mentoring capacity even if only by example. That is what character is all about. Let’s look at ten essential virtues that make up content of character: 1. Wisdom Wisdom is good judgment. It enables us to make reasoned decisions that are both good for us and good for others. Wisdom tells us how to put the other virtues into practice—when to act and how to act. • If you start to believe you are special and nobody is as good as you, just look at the number of people in your industry, in your state, in your country. Then ask yourself how many of this grand total of people even knows your name. Unless you’re Tom Cruise or Angelina Joline, chances are not many people really even know who you are let alone actually care how good you think you are. 2. Fortitude Fortitude enables us to do what is right in the face of difficulty. The right decision in life is often the hard one. . Fortitude is about inner toughness that allows us to overcome hardships and challenges. Courage, resilience, patience, perseverance, endurance, and a healthy self-confidence are all aspects of fortitude. 3. Self- Discipline --- Personal Accountability Self-Discipline is the ability to manage ourselves and hold ourselves accountable. It commands us to control our temper, regulate our passions, and pursue even our greatest desires in moderation. It’s the power to resist temptation, to wait, and to delay gratification in the pursuit of higher longer term goals. 4. Love Love is the willingness to sacrifice for the sake of another. Love is at the top of the list of important human virtues that include empathy, compassion, kindness, generosity, service, loyalty, patriotism, forgiveness and the willingness to sacrifice for others. 5. Attitude If you have a negative attitude in life, you’re a burden to yourself and others. If you have a positive attitude, you’re an asset to Online Outlet, Cheap Replica Watches UK Store, Swiss Replica Watches Sale, Free UK Shipping!!yourself and others. Most people think they have a positive attitude—unfortunately, many of those people are wrong. It’s easy to have a positive outlook when things are going your way. But what happens when you lose? You are the only person that can affect a replica breitlingchange in your thinking or your attitude. That is why it is extremely important to take control the minute you step out of bed. It may sound conceited but there is nothing wrong with looking at yourself in the mirror the very first thing and saying, “You are the Greatest, You will Succeed, You are the Best!” Let us not forget that our attitude can affect the attitude of others and how others react to us can affect our attitude. 6. Work Ethic There is no substitute in life for hard work. I challenge you to discover one single solitary individual who achieved his or her own personal greatness without lots of hard work.” Hard work includes the virtues of initiative, diligence, goal-setting, resourcefulness and the willingness to release discretionary energy. Discretionary energy is the energy an employee uses when going above and beyond the call of duty to complete a task or get the job done. Wikopedia defines Work ethic as a set of values based on hard work and diligence. It is also a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character. 7. Integrity Integrity is adhering to moral principle, being faithful to moral conscience, keeping our word, and standing up for what we believe. To have integrity is to be “whole,” so that what we say and do in different situations is consistent rather than contradictory. Integrity is different from honesty, which tells the truth to others. Integrity is telling the truth to oneself. • Know what you believe – it is your core essence. It makes you who you are. You must have a clear set of values • Trust what you believe – don’t be afraid to stand up for your beliefs • Live what you believe – walk the walk • Share what you believe – mentor & coach employees 8. by helping others get what they want. Giving back is a way of showing gratitude for who you TAG Heuer Replica watches ukare and what you have accomplished. Remember: “Give your gifts in private without requiring admiration or gratitude and your rewards will be abundant.” 9. Humility Humility can be considered the foundation of moral living. Humility is necessary for the acquisition of the other virtues because it makes us aware of our imperfections and leads us to try to become a better person. A leader’s role is to serve those people that report to him. He or she is not a dictator --- their ultimate role is to serve, to allow those people to achieve their goals. It’s a style that starts by asking: What do you want to accomplish, rather than telling them what you want them to accomplish. • Arrogance is often just a mask that hides your personal self-doubt. But first you have to be honest with yourself • If you start to believe you are special and nobody is as good as you, just look at the number of people in your industry, in your state, in your country. Then ask yourself how many in this grand total of people even know your name. Unless you’re Tom Cruise or Angelina Joline, chances are not many people really even know who you are let alone actually care how good you think you are. Humility enables us to take responsibility for our faults and failings apologize for them, and seek to make amends. 10. Respect The Golden Rule, which directs us to treat other persons as we wish to be treated, is a principle of respect. An essential to respect development rests with communication. Furthermore, the achievement of employee respect enables people to reach deep down and give their all despite difficult circumstances.
